Custom Packets

1. Custom horticultural packets typically have multiple variety packets across many different quantities per packet. The designs are very specific to the retail market and the offering horticultural firm. They are the type of packets you will see in the big-box stores and the regional stores every spring.

2. Typically, the client supplies the artwork and the text for each packet and chooses the images from our horticultural library.

3. Often there are visual differentiations with regard to varieties and price points.

4. The prices for the manufactured packets are based on large multi-variety orders (1,000 of these six, 2,500 of these 20, 30,000 of these five, and so on.) We then break down the packet order into print runs and pass the corresponding economic savings on to you. Please call and discuss with Sherry the finances of this endeavor.

5. There are investments as one develops a line of digital packets. Sometimes, stock packets may be a better choice as the printing of stock packets is from standing digital files and there are no start-up investments save price, weight and UPC demands.

Stock Packets, Displays, Banners...

1. Stock horticultural packets are packets printed from standing digital files. We typically add price, weight, UPC and company logos to existing digital files and produce the packets (quantities from as low as 500).

2. While there are a finite number of stock packets, we can add, at no cost to you, other varieties and images as you demand. Also note the nostalgic and organic line of images in our library.

3. Also, there are opportunities to use color in your logo and also utilize different fonts as you create a more differentiated packet. Because we print to your order and utilize digital technology, we can offer much more than a “black overprint.” We are finding that most of our clients like to differentiate the packets a bit as compared to the historical “black overprint” of years past. This allows an almost “custom-like” packet appearance, whether you’re placing 50 racks or 5,000.
